The number of participants in the Bett UK delegation in London reached a new record in 2025, with more than 200 education professionals in attendance. However, more than the number of participants, what stood out on the first day of activities in London was the quality of the exchanges and connections made.

On Monday morning (the 20th), the Brazilian delegation was divided among four schools: Saint Joseph's Catholic Primary School; St. Augustine’s Catholic Primary School; Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School; and St. John XXIII Catholic Primary School. At each school, the Brazilians were able to talk with the teaching staff, tour the school facilities, and observe some teachers conducting classes.

During her visit to St. Joseph’s Primary School, Isabela Barbalho, manager at Start by Alura, said she was impressed by how well-organized the school was and by the staff’s eagerness to get to know the Brazilians. “The principal welcomed us very warmly; he was very helpful in showing us around the entire school and let us observe some classes, but he was also curious about our situation—he asked questions and was genuinely interested in exchanging experiences,” Isabela noted.

In the afternoon, Brazilian government representatives—members of the Brazilian delegation—attended an official reception hosted by the British government, where they were able to discuss and exchange experiences related to education.

That evening, everyone from the Bett UK delegation had the chance to get to know one another at a welcome reception. Claudia Valério, executive director of Bett Brasil, encouraged everyone to take advantage of the opportunity to meet new people and network. “We on the Bett team have seen that many of the connections made here have turned into projects, and people have become friends. It’s not just about doing business, but about exchanging experiences. The focus of everyone here is Brazilian education,” she emphasized.

Rafael Matsudo, the principal and sponsor of Le Petit Nicolá School in São Paulo, was pleased both with his visit to the school that morning and with the networking opportunities he had at the evening meeting.

“It’s a wonderful event that goes far beyond a typical trade show because it allows everyone to talk as equals, which gave me access to several major companies. I met the representative of an American school; we exchanged contact information, and I’ll now have the opportunity to provide my students with an international resume,” she noted.
