Planning and Organization

Trello: It is a task and project management tool based on boards and lists. It is ideal for teachers to organize lessons, school projects, or track group assignments. Each board represents a project or topic, and the lists within the board organize tasks by category (such as “to do,” “in progress,” “done”). Teachers can share boards with colleagues or students for real-time collaboration.

Microsoft To Do: It's a to-do list app that helps with personal and professional organization. It’s useful for teachers who need to manage appointments, deadlines, and daily tasks. The app lets you create multiple lists for different contexts (for example, “Class Tasks,” “Weekly Planning,” “School Events”), and you can add subtasks, deadlines, and detailed notes to each item.

Available on all devices, allowing synchronization between computers, cell phones, and tablets.

Communication and Collaboration

Zoom: Zoom is a video conferencing platform that can be used for online remote classes, virtual meetings with other teachers, or meetings with parents and guardians.

The tool allows you to create virtual meetings with a shareable access link for students or colleagues, and its interactive features include screen sharing, a digital whiteboard, and meeting recording.

ClassDojo: is a communication tool that connects teachers, students, and parents. It helps create a more integrated school community and allows teachers to track and share students’ progress. Among its features, teachers can create classes and customize profiles for students, send direct and secure messages to parents, and share photos, videos, and classroom activities.

ClassDojo works as a reward system: teachers can award points to students for positive behaviors, such as participation or teamwork. And parents have access to real-time updates on their children's performance.

Content Creation

Canva: It’s an easy-to-use graphic design tool, ideal for creating visual materials such as presentations, posters, teaching materials, certificates, infographics, and even social media posts. Canva offers thousands of ready-made, customizable templates for different types of content, and teachers can quickly create visual resources without needing advanced design skills.

Classroom Management

Google Classroom: an online class management platform that allows teachers to organize materials, assignments, and activities for students. It centralizes communication and educational resources in one place. Teachers can create virtual classes and invite students using a code.

The platform allows you to create, submit, and grade assignments digitally, as well as upload and share materials (documents, videos, PDFs).

Education and Assessment

Quizizz: a platform that transforms assessments and review sessions into interactive, gamified activities, making learning more fun and engaging. Teachers can create custom quizzes or choose from millions of ready-made activities.

Quizzes can be administered live (in real time) or as assignments for students to complete at their own pace. Students access the quizzes via a link or code and answer the questions on their devices. The tool also provides detailed performance reports, allowing teachers to track the class’s progress and identify areas of difficulty.

Edpuzzle: allows you to create interactive video lessons by adding questions, comments, or notes to existing videos. Teachers can choose videos from platforms such as YouTube and Khan Academy, or upload their own videos; using editing tools, they can trim videos and add multiple-choice or essay questions throughout the content.

Students watch the videos and answer the questions directly on the platform, and teachers receive engagement reports, including who watched the video and how students performed on the questions.

Teachy: an online learning platform that allows users to create personalized courses and interactive lessons. The app combines content creation tools with features for engagement and tracking learning progress.

The free version offers basic features for creating and publishing courses. Teachers can build courses organized into modules and lessons, adding materials such as videos, text, audio, images, and PDF files. Teachy also helps with grading tests, generating reports, and finding appropriate supplementary teaching materials.

Teaching Resources and References

Khan Academy: offers free educational materials for various subjects, such as math, science, history, and programming. It is a tool for self-directed learning or as a supplement to classroom instruction. The content consists of video lessons, practice exercises, and quizzes to review the material.

Teachers can create classes, assign specific activities, and track students' progress. The system adapts the exercises based on student performance, helping to personalize the learning experience.

Duolingo: a language-learning app that teaches through interactive, gamified methods. It can be used by teachers as a supplement to language classes. Duolingo offers short, dynamic lessons focused on reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and uses spaced repetition and positive reinforcement to help students memorize words and concepts. Teachers can create classes on Duolingo for Schools, monitor students’ progress, and assign specific activities.
