The application period for selecting books for the 2024 PNLD is now open
Registration for the PNLD 2024 – Item 1 – Educational materials for students and teachers in the final years of elementary school is open on the PNLD Digital system from August 11 to 23, 2023.
Teachers should review the 2024 PNLD Guide – Item 1 and select the works that best align with the school’s educational plan. They should then enter their selections into the PNLD system and attach the minutes signed by the teachers. The principals of each school are responsible for entering the selections into the system in accordance with the faculty’s decision.
For FNDE President Fernanda Pacobahyba, this is a time when educators’ participation is of great importance. “Teachers should actively participate in this selection process, since they are the ones responsible for our students’ education. Now is the time for them to select the materials that best suit the institution’s teaching and learning process.”
In cases where all schools in the public school system opt for the same type of material, it is the responsibility of the state education departments to instruct each institution to record its choice individually and independently in the system.
The process must be completed by August 23. Once the deadline has passed, the data will be processed by the FNDE, and the selected projects will be sent to all schools.
If the school chooses not to receive the materials, it is also required to register this decision in the PNLD Digital system, indicating that it does not wish to receive the books. If the school does not access the PNLD Digital system and/or does not record its selection within the established deadlines, one of the titles approved and listed in the Guide will be sent for each curricular component, in accordance with technical criteria defined by the FNDE, provided that the school district has enrolled in the PNLD. School principals and staff from the departments of education who do not yet have access to PNLD Digital should request registration in the system.
All guidelines regarding registration for the PNLD Digital program and the procedures for submitting selections for the 2024 PNLD – Item 1 are available on the FNDE website.
