“Our story as Red Balloon began with a pioneering approach to teaching English to children and teenagers! That’s because, until then, there were very few teaching methods designed for this age group: English instruction was focused on adults.” 

With the development of an innovative methodology that combines English language immersion and teaching excellence with the stages of child development, Red Balloon opened its first location in 1969 in the Higienópolis neighborhood of São Paulo!

Thanks to the community’s strong connection to the school and the success of its teaching method, other locations were opened in São Paulo, gradually expanding to every Brazilian state! Today, Red Balloon has more than 120 locations throughout Brazil—more than 70 franchised locations and 50 English Solutions locations—and that number keeps growing!

With English Solutions, our goal is to connect the Red Balloon universe with the reality of each school! Our new approach is designed to adapt to the different contexts and realities of each institution, combining English multiliteracy—always lighthearted and fun —with the local regular curriculum.
