At Bett Brasil, the Startups Arena is dedicated to edtech innovations. More than 20 companies are participating in the event to present their technology solutions geared toward the education sector. The Arena also hosts talks featuring industry guests so that entrepreneurs, managers, educators, and investors can learn and exchange ideas on how to drive the use of technology, break paradigms, and improve management processes in educational institutions.

At Arena Startups this Thursday (25), the first panel discussion of the day was the “Pitch Startups: School Management” session, which featured Luiz Mário Mialichi Júnior, managing partner of Cubo Escolar; Priscilla Mazzetti, educational advisor for the Blue Educação network; and Rita Maria, a professor and researcher.

The executives outlined the profiles of their companies, but they also shared important insights on school management. “Bringing technological solutions to education seems easy, but it isn’t. That’s why it’s important to have this forum to discuss innovation,” said Rita.

Priscila, for her part, emphasized the importance of developing materials that offer students experiences closely tied to the reality they live in and that connect students with their classes, thereby enhancing learning. Luiz emphasized that, in addition to effective teaching methods, schools need to streamline their administrative tasks to make them faster and more intuitive, including involving parents in their children’s day-to-day school life through technology, such as email notifications and alerts.
