Belas Artes, an institution recognized for its exceptionally high-quality higher education in the Creative Economy, is introducing its new company, ArtBee, to the market. Focused on K-12 education, the company offers learning pathways—all developed by Belas Artes faculty and aligned with the BNCC—to form the curriculum for early childhood education, elementary school (grades 1–5), middle school (grades 6–8), and high school, preparing students for the next stage of their lives.

Using the exclusive EduCreative Track methodology, ArtBee offers tracks based on three sectors of the Creative Economy: Communication and Language; Art, Architecture, and Technology; and Design and Innovation. The company trains teachers to serve as mentors for the tracks, and all learning takes place digitally or in a hybrid format through an exclusive platform. Students begin the courses according to the proposed curriculum, which is aligned with their grade level; mentor teachers from the high schools provide guidance and monitor the students’ progress.

“ArtBee was born out of a market demand, and since Belas Artes is a leader in teaching the Creative Economy, many schools reached out to us to offer courses in these areas to their students. Faced with this reality, we developed a company that offers the educational quality of an academic institution, highly qualified teachers, and our own methodology that effectively serves students in early childhood education, elementary school (grades 1–4), middle school (grades 5–8), and high school. And all of this is aligned with BNCC standards. We’re very happy with the results of this company and with the product we’re bringing to market,” says Patrícia Cardim, General Director of Belas Artes and founder of ArtBee.

ArtBee aims to eventually offer 120 courses and learning paths, and was founded to serve the K-12 education market throughout Brazil.

ArtBee's Unique Features and Benefits

In addition to featuring the exclusive EduCreative Track methodology and being a program grounded in the Creative Economy, ArtBee offers many other unique features, such as: being a bilingual and hybrid program; having an international student assessment program that promotes improvement in average proficiency levels; and providing a forum for educational exchange, among others.

Furthermore, ArtBee is beneficial for schools because it fosters creativity in students, which is a new assessment criterion in various types of programs, such as PISA (Program for International Student Assessment).

For students, this is a great opportunity to discover their calling, gain experience through activities designed by faculty members at a renowned institution of higher education, be encouraged to think creatively in the face of new challenges, and develop socially, emotionally, and technically.

On the other hand, it is beneficial for parents when their children experience well-rounded development, are better prepared for the future, and achieve higher academic performance.

How does it work?

The learning paths are recommended for specific grade levels, but schools have the flexibility to adapt them to fit their own curriculum. All activities are aligned with the BNCC, enabling transdisciplinary approaches to the curriculum while also addressing Holistic Education. Each learning path consists of 16 activities and is designed to last one semester.
