Bett Brasil 2022 was a hit with the public
Latin America's largest education and technology event exceeded expectations and drew more than 29,000 visitors over the course of the four-day event. Attendees were able to participate in lectures, workshops, and demonstrations of innovative solutions for the education sector.

With approximately 29,000 in-person and online visitors over four days, Bett Brasil—Latin America’s largest education and technology event—exceeded the organizers’ attendance expectations. The event featured more than 270 exhibiting brands and provided a platform for dialogue on the future of education in Brazil through the Bett Brasil Congress and the Administrators’ Forum during the four-day event held at the Transamérica Expo pavilion in São Paulo.

"We are very pleased with the results of this year’s Bett Brasil, especially with the number of visitors in the exhibition hall and the packed auditoriums at the Congress and Managers’ Forum. This reflects the growing momentum in the education market and the anticipation surrounding the return to in-person events. We’ve received many reports from partners and exhibitors about how productive the fair was for building relationships and closing new deals. We also had new companies that have already reached out to us expressing interest in participating in the 2023 edition,” celebrated Bett Brasil’s general director, Claudia Valério.

Adriana Martinelli, Bett Brasil’s content director, highlighted that one of the key indicators of success for this edition is its theme, “Co-creating the Education of the Future.” According to her, the most meaningful aspect was seeing people fully engage with the experience offered by the event, which provided opportunities for interaction, conversation, and relationship-building. She also noted that, after these two years of social isolation caused by the pandemic, people seem to be more aware of the importance of listening, which is fundamental to the learning process.

“The themes of the Congress and the Administrators’ Forum were very well received by the audience, and we saw a lot of engagement during the presentations—with questions, comments, and thought-provoking remarks—which shows that the content met expectations in terms of fostering dialogue and offering insights for rethinking the future of education. The discussions that took place during these days at Bett Brasil clearly point the way toward what will happen in schools in the short and medium term,” Adriana emphasized.

Exhibition - Bett Brasil welcomed more than 270 exhibiting brands that showcased technological and educational innovations for private and public school systems. Exhibitors expressed satisfaction with the event’s return to an in-person format and surprise at the number of visitors over the four-day event.

"We had high expectations for the in-person Bett Brasil event, and we were very pleased with the results. The attendees were highly qualified, consisting largely of decision-makers. Another positive aspect that caught our attention at this year’s event was that the traffic at our booth was very well balanced between representatives from private schools and public education. We have several successful initiatives in the public sector, and there was a great deal of interest from various city governments in better understanding bilingual education. I can say that, by the third day, we had more than 4,500 leads,” said Fernando Lugó, Pearson’s marketing director.

Mario Ghio, President of Somos Educação and CEO of Vasta, said he was surprised by the significant turnout of school administrators and principals seeking comprehensive solutions to balance quality education with efficient management. “More than just qualified leads for generating new business, reconnecting with friends and partners brought a special sense of excitement that we could see in everyone after two years without in-person events. Certainly, much of what happened at the fair will benefit educators, students, and families, positively impacting education in the coming years,” Ghio emphasized.

Heitor Martins, CEO of Sistema Positivo de Ensino, also spoke about lead generation at the event. “Our assessment of the turnout is very positive. In addition to the schools that already use the Positivo system, we were visited by several institutions interested in our educational and financial management solutions—a topic that gained prominence during the pandemic and continues to do so now in the post-pandemic era. We are very pleased with our participation and the positive results we achieved. We have over 100 qualified leads that will certainly generate ‘hot’ leads for us,” said Martins.

Carolina Gomes, Business Development Manager at Lenovo, highlighted the brand’s first-ever participation in the event. “Lenovo participated in Bett Brasil for the first time with its own booth this year, which marks a return to an in-person format. We were delighted to meet with customers, partners, and visitors to discuss how smart technology and innovation can help students, teachers, and education leaders revolutionize learning in Brazil. We hope to be here next year to continue discussing the future of education.”

Bett Online - Bett Brasil 2022 was held in a hybrid format, featuring live presentations and interviews streamed online on the Bett platform. A total of 19 presentations featuring 46 speakers and 11 live interviews were streamed, and the content was viewed by approximately 1,700 people over the four days of the event.

Topics discussed included “The New High School Curriculum—What We’ve Already Learned in Practice”; “How Science Centers Became the Sensation of Informal Education”; “Self-Directed Learning and Equity, Inclusive Education, and Gender: Challenges for School Administration”; and others. All content, including the interviews, will be available on-demand on the platform through November. Access is free.

Bett Brasil 2023 - The next in-person edition of Bett Brasil will take place May 9–12, 2023, at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo.
