Regenerative futures. One aspect of regenerative thinking is the transformation of knowledge into wisdom. Another important aspect is identifying trends and preparing for what lies ahead. In other words, building on the damage that has already been done to foster healthy and resilient growth on an ongoing basis. Based on these premises, Bett Brasil—Latin America’s largest technology and innovation event for education—has defined its central theme for 2025: “Education to tackle crises and build regenerative futures.”

The event’s main theme was developed collaboratively, with the support of the Bett Brasil Advisory Board. In line with the idea of building regenerative futures, the goal is to discuss the various fields of human activity, including efforts to address the crises facing humanity in this first quarter of the century.

By emphasizing that education will be the key to addressing the crises of our time, the goal is to foster a culture of prevention and awareness during the panel discussions and roundtables. With advance knowledge, educational stakeholders and organizations will be able to develop decision-making strategies based on current and future scenarios, to explore different paths and adapt to rapid and uncertain changes.

Guided by its central theme, Bett Brasil 2025 will present subtopics to be addressed over the course of the four-day event, focusing on the social, environmental, and economic crises that directly or indirectly impact education in Brazil and around the world.

The subtopic “Climate Crisis” will address sustainable futures, climate and environmental education in schools, ESG initiatives for education, the importance of the green economy, and other related topics.

It is inevitable that Latin America’s largest technology and innovation event will delve into the “crises” caused by the impacts of “Artificial Intelligence” at all levels of education. Topics to be discussed include e-pedagogy, fake news, media literacy, personalized learning, individualized learning, case studies on the use of AI, its implications for educators, students, and institutions, algorithmic bias, and the reorganization of learning spaces.

Another pressing issue is the severe “mental health” crisis, with a focus on the family-school relationship, its impact on the school environment, bullying, individual and collective anxiety, the fear of missing out (FOMO), and the effects of social media and excessive digital use.

Still on the topic of mental health, the event aims to present solutions based on discussions and case studies regarding the importance of self-awareness, emotional plasticity, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. More broadly, it also seeks to assess the commitment of companies in the education sector to promoting the mental health of their employees.

Widely discussed in academic circles and in educational practice, “Learning by Doing” remains a timely topic and a crucial aspect for addressing existing gaps in vocational education and higher education, particularly with regard to employability and market expectations for young people, in line with the New High School Curriculum and partnerships between businesses and educational institutions—a gap that still exists and is not fully aligned with the current demands of the workforce.

Another extremely important subtopic that Bett Brasil 2025 will address is “Access, Retention, and Equity in Education.” This is a critical issue where the multifaceted “crises” of inequality manifest themselves—whether between the public and private sectors or in social, economic, or cultural spheres—as well as issues related to school dropout rates, full-time education, literacy, neurodiversity, and anti-racist, Indigenous, Quilombola, and riverside communities’ education.

All subtopics are interconnected by converging aspects that permeate education. One of the most telling is “Human Development, ” from its causes to the consequences that affect students, teachers, administrators, and leaders. This is also an essential topic for the initial and continuing training of educators, which involves issues such as sex education, financial education, and social-emotional skills. Among the perspectives addressed is also the growing emphasis on human resources in schools and educational institutions.

This is the series of diverse discussions that Bett Brasil will host in 2025, during its 30th edition, from April 28 to May 1, 2025, at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, featuring renowned Brazilian and international experts, educators, opinion leaders, and influencers. Admission is free.
