Brazil is home to about 70% of Latin America’s edtech companies, establishing itself as the region’s largest hub for educational innovation. Between 2015 and the first quarter of 2024, the sector raised approximately $600 million in 316 investment rounds in Latin America—with Brazil accounting for $475.6 million of that total. The data is part of the EdTech Report 2024, produced by the innovation platform Distrito.

This promising outlook underscores the importance of Bett Startups, a space dedicated exclusively to education startups at the 30th edition of Bett Brasil, which will take place from April 28 to May 1 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo. Admission is free, and you can register HERE.

Located in the fairgrounds and offering free admission to visitors, the venue showcases innovative solutions designed to address real challenges in contemporary education, as well as a dedicated auditorium for industry discussions. The space also features a lounge supported by SESI, SENAI, SWO/AWS, and ACATE.

Among the highlights of the program is a talk by Vitor Harano, head of Research at Distrito, titled “EdTech Outlook 2025: Key Figures and Trends,” on April 28 at 2:00 p.m. During the presentation, the “EdTech Report 2025: The Future of Education” will be exclusively released. The report provides an in-depth analysis of the sector’s direction, the impacts of artificial intelligence, and other trends that are shaping learning in the coming years.

Another highlight will be the panel discussion “Open Innovation: The Future of Education Lies in Collaboration, ” on April 28 at 5:00 p.m., which will explore the role of cooperation in transforming educational practices. The panel will feature Juliana Gavini, coordinator of the SESI SENAI Institute of Educational Technologies; Felipe Morgado, superintendent of Vocational and Higher Education at SENAI; Wisley Pereira, superintendent of Education at SESI Nacional; Domenica Parada, education specialist for Latin America at AWS; and Otavio Pinheiro, director of the EdTech division at ACATE.

Also on the program is the panel “Co-create to Transform: The Role of Open Innovation in Education, ” on April 29 at 5:00 p.m., which will showcase initiatives from the Tecnopuc Education Hub (EduX) in partnership with Marista Brasil. The panel will feature Rafael Rodrigues, socio-educational coordinator at Marista Brasil; Aryane Eckelberg, innovation analyst at Marista Brasil; Karen Sica, coordinator at EduX/Tecnopuc; and Carolina Eichenberg, coordinator at the EduX Hub.

Another highlight will be the panel discussion “Challenges and Opportunities of Digital Transformation, ” on April 29 at 3:30 p.m., featuring Tiago Manchini, executive manager of digital business at SENAI/SC, and Arioston Cerqueira Rodrigues, manager of Technology Education at SESI—National Department.

Bett Brasil Edtech Awards 

As a new feature, Bett Brasil has launched the“Bett Brasil Edtech Awards,” which recognize startups with innovative solutions for education. The awards are divided into three categories, based on the startups’ stage of development. One winner per category will be chosen from among the nine finalists, with the announcement scheduled for May 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Arena Startups, where admission is free. The initiative is supported by CESAR School, Distrito, Instituto Significare, and the Ibero-American Association of EdTech (IAAE).
