Serving as a school leader requires paying close attention to the various demands involved, such as monitoring students’ learning progress and curriculum compliance, providing ongoing professional development for teachers, managing administrative and financial planning, and maintaining effective communication with families and the school community.

To that end, with the goal of strengthening all aspects of school management and providing a broad platform for dialogue among professionals in this field, Bett Brasil—Latin America’s largest event for innovation and technology in education—will host the Administrators’ Forum from April 23 to 26, 2024, at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo.

The Administrators’ Forum is a gathering of school board members, leaders, and administrators from public and private K-12 schools across the country, aimed at discussing the challenges, trends, and future directions in school administration. It provides an ideal setting for sharing ideas and experiences designed to improve the many aspects involved in the administration of educational institutions.

One of the new developments in 2024 is that the Managers’ Forum has expanded its scope by establishing a committee to provide ongoing support to the entire community of educational managers. Throughout the year, the group presents ideas, projects, and initiatives carried out by leaders of public and private educational institutions regarding the challenges and trends in basic education.

Schedule

At this 29th edition of Bett Brasil, the Forum will take place over the four days of the event, featuring panels focused on strategic and fundamental topics in the industry, with 16 hours of content and more than 30 speakers.

Among the highlights of the sessions is the Forum’s opening panel on April 23 at 11:00 a.m., with the theme “Inclusive Education: Challenges, Rights, and Duties,” which will feature Zara Figueiredo, National Secretary of the Secretariat for Continuing Education, Youth and Adult Literacy, Diversity, and Inclusion (Secadi); Luciana Winck, Deputy Director of Education at Marista João Paulo II (Federal District); Rodrigo Mendes, Superintendent of the Rodrigo Mendes Institute; andJosé Antonio Figueiredo Antiório, President of the Union of Educational Institutions in the State of São Paulo (SIEEESP).

On April 24, at 4:00 p.m., the topic “What Does It Mean to Be a Good Educator Today?” will be discussed, featuring the president of the Iungo Institute, Paulo Andrade; the coordinator of the Vila Training Center, Clea Ferreira; and the coordinator of the São Paulo State School for the Training and Professional Development of Education Professionals, Daniele Quirino. And on April 26 at 4:00 p.m., the panel “#ElasNaCiência: Empowering Girls and Women” will feature talks by Déborah de Mari, founder of the “Força Meninas” project, and Larissa Paiva, known as Larittrix, the first NASA-accredited female astronaut from Ceará.

The program also features the participation of professionals such as: Renan Ferreirinha, Rio de Janeiro’s Secretary of Education; Luciano Meira, a contributing professor at CESAR School and Coordinator of Science and Innovation at Joy Street; Vanessa Tenório, director of Systemic Bilingual; Carla ten Kathen, Pedagogical Coordinator at Colégio Humboldt; Alessandra Borelli, partner at Opice Blum Advogados and specialist in digital law; Bruno Piva, CEO of Piva Consultoria Educacional Integrada; Tais Bento and Roberta Bento, directors of SOS Educação; and Ana Cecilia (Ciça) Melo, volunteer CEO of Instituto Apontar .

Ahead Plenary Session + Managers' Forum

Another new feature of this edition is that there will be four sessions of the “Ahead Plenary + Managers’ Forum, ” one per day of the event. The idea is to bring together the audiences of Ahead by Bett—an event dedicated to higher and professional education—and the Managers’ Forum, ensuring an experience that fosters integration and connection between the two sectors.

The initiative will feature the following panel discussions: “The Future of Work: Trends and the Importance of Lifelong Learning, ” with Ana Claudia Plihal, director of LinkedIn; “The Art of Deceiving Oneself, ” with Luiz Gaziri, professor at Unicamp and FAE Business School; “From the Front Lines to Senior Management: The 10Cs of Success, ” with Iris Barbosa, advisor to the Brazilian Human Resources Association; and “Technology as a Strategy to Reduce Social Inequalities, ” with Kelly Baptista, executive director of the 1Bi Foundation.
