A Brazilian delegation will attend the Bett Show UK, a global education and technology event
This month, the city of London, in the United Kingdom, becomes the world capital of education and technology with the Bett Show UK, a global event taking place at Excel London from the 29th to the 31st. Over the course of three days, the British edition of Bett will bring together educators and more than 600 global technology companies, renowned educational brands, and startups providing solutions for every educational scenario, challenge, and budget.
As has become a tradition, Bett Brasil will be represented at the London event by a Brazilian delegation composed of educators, school administrators, business leaders, and government officials from the country’s education sector. There will also be an open session led by Luciano Meira, an adjunct professor at Cesar School (Center for Advanced Studies and Systems in Recife) and coordinator of Science and Innovation at Proz Educação, discussing Brazilian experiences in educational improvement based on innovation.
Adriana Martinelli, content director at Bett Brasil, notes that, in addition to attending the three-day Bett Show UK, the Brazilian delegation will make technical visits to higher education and K-12 (elementary) institutions, such as King’s College, the Open University, and Ashcroft Technology Academy.
“The highlight for those participating in the delegation is the opportunity to network and make new contacts. Not to mention, of course, learning about the latest developments and building connections with companies, educators, and professionals in the education sector,” Adriana points out.
Schedule
As the global brand behind the Bett events, the content program will feature leading figures in education on the panel discussions, which this year will focus on the theme “How can we reconnect the educational ecosystem, reimagine the potential of technology in education, and renew our commitment to equitable learning for all?”
Among the featured speakers on the event’s main stage will be Anne-Marie Imafidon, founder of the social enterprise Stemettes, which encourages girls and young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM); Darcey Bussell, a world-renowned ballerina and founder of the charity Diverse Dance Mix for Schools, a dance fitness program whose primary goal is to incorporate dance into expanded physical education in British schools; Michael Rosen, a writer and poet for children and adults and a professor of children’s literature at Goldsmiths (University ofLondon); Steven Bartlett, an entrepreneur, content creator, participant on the BBC television show “Dragons’ Den,” and creator of the popular podcast “Diary of a CEO.”
New
One of the highlights of the Bett Show UK is the networking and business program Connect @ Bett, which aims to facilitate quick, one-on-one, personalized meetings to effectively connect educational solution providers with buyers from educational institutions in an environment conducive to initiating conversations.
Bett’s global director, Rachel Brodie, describes Connect @ Bett as an important milestone for the event: “We are embarking on a year of transformation at Bett. With the launch of Connect @ Bett, we will empower our community of solution providers, educational institutions, and governments to meet new people, discover new organizations, and create incredible opportunities through meaningful conversations at our events. This new meeting program will bring about positive changes for them, their organizations, and their students,” says Rachel.
The initiative will also be replicated in Brazil at the next edition of Bett Brasil, which will take place May 9–12 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo, following the same British model of personalized meetings. Bett Conect@will focus on effectively connecting educational solution providers and buyers from educational institutions in a setting conducive to dialogue.
