How can technology enhance school management and transform the relationship between families and schools?
Vitor Margato, Vice President of Product, Technology, and Design at isaac, ClassApp, and Activesoft, highlights trends and strategies for integrating digital solutions into the school environment

Technology plays a key role in the relationship between school administrators, teachers, and families, lightening the administrative burden and allowing them to focus on education. In an interview with Conexão Bett, Vitor Margato, Vice President of Product, Technology, and Design at isaac, ClassApp, and Activesoft, shared his insights on how digital solutions can optimize school management.

He pointed out that one of the main ways technology provides support is in financial management. “One of the simplest ways technology can help school administrators is by relieving the school of tasks related to payments and financial matters. This is an area that takes up a lot of time in day-to-day operations and is not typically viewed by educators as the central focus of their work. When schools have partners who take on this burden, it frees up time and mental bandwidth for administrators to focus on the educational relationship with families and students,” explained Margato.

In addition to operational optimization, personalizing the user experience is another crucial factor. The use of high-quality data can make school management more efficient and enable more accurate monitoring of students.

"Data plays a central role in decision-making and in improving school management. When we analyze information about payments, communication, enrollment, and even academic performance, we gain a comprehensive view of the students. Artificial intelligence has great potential to improve workflows and personalize the experience for families and students, but this personalization only happens when there is high-quality data from the school’s context. It’s not enough to use a generic chatbot; AI must be integrated into an ecosystem of solutions that work with consistent information,” the executive emphasized.

Looking ahead, Margato pointed out three major technological trends that are likely to affect school administration and communication between educational institutions and parents.

" Artificial intelligence is, without a doubt, the greatest technological transformation of our time. Its impact is already very clear and measurable, both in everyday life and in the way businesses operate. The second trend is directly linked to this advancement: the emphasis on a well-rounded education for students. This includes social-emotional, bilingual, and maker education, because as AI evolves, human skills—such as collaboration, emotional intelligence, and citizenship—become even more essential."

The third trend, according to Margato, involves the integration of the technological solutions used by schools. “We still see little interaction between educational products, even when they are part of the same corporate group. Starting this year, and even more so in the coming years, we will see a much higher level of integration among these solutions. It doesn’t make sense for the department’s staff to have to deal with several different logins to access different tools. We are working to create an ecosystem of solutions that is more fluid, integrated, and simple for schools,” he concluded.
