A first day of the event filled with learning and connections: that was the experience of the Bett Brasil delegation in the Bett UK, in London. “It’s a very innovative environment. On this first day alone, I’ve already had many exchanges, learned about many new developments, and will take home many ideas to improve our learning,” says Hélio Daher, secretary of education for Mato Grosso do Sul (MS). 

More than 150 Brazilians are part of the Bett Brasil delegation, including administrators from state school systems, high schools, and private school systems, as well as individuals involved in higher education and technology companies. Through a partnership with EF Education First, representatives from public school systems will have access to a special program tailored to their interests.

Bett is an event that caters to a wide range of interests among education professionals. “This year, with no health restrictions, Bett UK is even bigger and busier. And, as always, it brings plenty of new developments,” says Claudia Valério, director of Bett Brasil. For her, the presence of so many Brazilians demonstrates the event’s importance to education in the country. “In addition to the people who came with our delegation, I met many other Brazilians who came on their own. And several are attending for the second time, a sign that they viewed their previous visit positively,” she notes.

 

The global education and technology event provides a platform for everyone, from small startups to established companies like the tech giant Google, which has one of the largest booths this year. Microsoft was also in attendance. “It’s an opportunity to listen to customers, to understand the challenges they’re facing, and to show what we’ve been doing to help. In addition to customers—since it’s a conference—we get to see what everyone else is doing, whether they’re competitors or partners. This allows us to confirm or adjust the company’s direction,” says Juliano Menegazzo, a manager at Microsoft.

Bett UK 2023 will run through Friday (the 31st) and brings together educators and global technology companies, renowned educational brands, and startups that provide solutions for all educational scenarios, challenges, and sectors.
