One of the new features of the 30th edition of Bett Brasil was an awards program that recognized startups with innovative solutions for education

One of the major highlights of the 30th edition of Bett Brasil was the presentation of the Bett Brasil Edtech Awards, which recognized startups offering innovative solutions to educational challenges. The awards were supported by CESAR School, Distrito, Instituto Significare, and the Ibero-American Association of EdTech (IAAE).

With 120 entries, the award was divided into three categories— Early Stage, Traction, and Scale-up. Nine finalists presented their pitches live during the event. The winners were selected by a judging panel, while the standout startup was chosen by popular vote.

“It’s exciting to see this award come to fruition. We created the Bett Brasil Edtech Awards because we recognize that the connection between education and technology has been growing stronger for years. Edtech companies are key players in this process, helping to shape and expand the use of technology in the educational setting. This award was created precisely to give visibility and a voice to these companies, which have been contributing significantly to the evolution of Bett Brasil,” said Adriana Martinelli, content director at Bett Brasil.

Contest Rules and Winners

Each finalist had five minutes to present a pitch about their solution, followed by a brief round of questions from the guest judges.

The winners of this first edition of the Bett Brasil Edtech Awards were:

  • Collabits, in the Early Stage category
  • Teachy, in the Traction category
  • Lingopass, in the Scale-up category
  • Edify Education, in the "Outstanding Startup" category

Launch of the Brazilian Association of Edtech Companies

During the Bett Brasil Edtech Awards, the Brazilian Edtech Association was officially launched; this initiative was conceived by a group of entrepreneurs in the sector to strengthen the educational technology ecosystem in the country.

The announcement was made by Otávio Pinheiro, one of the organization’s co-founders. “We have some big news for the national edtech ecosystem: the creation of the Brazilian Edtech Association. This is a collective dream, built by many hands,” he said.

Claudia Valério, executive director of Bett Brasil, reaffirmed the event’s commitment to initiatives that promote strategic connections and development in the sector. “Our mission at Bett is to serve as a hub for connections, bringing together all stakeholders in Brazil’s education sector. We are proud to support initiatives like this and want to be part of this journey, as we recognize the needs of edtech companies and the transformative impact they have on education.”
