Now in its 29th edition, Bett Brasil—the largest event dedicated to innovation and technology in education in Latin America—will host its traditional Basic Education Congress, a forum for dialogue aimed at addressing education as an active process of change in our society.

The Basic Education Conference will focus on the theme “Innovation with a Purpose: Education in Dialogue with Social Change” and will be held in six auditoriums and two additional workshop rooms, which will explore topics related to equity and quality, digital culture, human connections, transformative learning, social-emotional intelligence, and sustainable futures.

With more than 270 confirmed speakers, the event will address topics such as the impact of technology and artificial intelligence in the classroom, the role of families in the teaching-and-learning process, the importance of social-emotional skills in schools, anti-racist education, the new high school curriculum, and access to education for all, among other topics. Another highlight of the conference will be Bett Talks, an initiative that will bring together 16 education professionals to share their personal and professional experiences related to education, with the aim of inspiring the audience with stories of citizenship, inclusion, and learning.

The content lineup, meanwhile, is organized into innovative formats designed to foster greater audience immersion and interaction with the topics presented by educators and experts from the educational ecosystem. These include:

Roundtable discussion: the speakers’ collective experience and knowledge shared in a casual conversation—a chat—moderated by a journalist, who will also open the discussion to the audience in the room.

Panel discussion: Two experts discuss the topic, and the moderator poses questions and comments from the audience.

Aquário: a stage in the center of the auditorium occupied by the panelists and the moderator, with one more empty chair for anyone willing to join the conversation. In this way, a variety of voices come together to discuss education.

Inspiring talk: Industry leaders wrap up the day with thought-provoking and insightful remarks that lead us to reflect on new paths in education.

The Basic Education Congress will also feature inspiring lectures by guest speakers who will present thought-provoking ideas to spark new reflections and provide inspiration for building a quality education system. More than 20 professionals—including educators, experts, and prominent figures from Brazil and around the world—will participate in this segment.

Among the Brazilian guests are: Augusto Cury, a physician and the most widely read author in Brazil over the past two decades; Alexandre Coimbra, a psychologist, writer, and family and couples therapist; Adriana Fóz, a neuropsychologist and specialist in emotional education; Ana Maria Diniz, founder of the Instituto Península and the Todos pela Educação movement; Carol Campos, founder of Vozes da Educação; Deh Bastos, founder of the @CriandoCriançasPretas initiative; Kaká Werá, writer, environmentalist, and prominent representative of Indigenous peoples; Leo Burd, researcher at the MIT Media Lab; Milton Jung, anchor of Jornal da CBN;Rossandro Klinjey, educator and consultant in Education and Human Development; and Tabata Amaral, federal deputy and education activist.

International speakers are also part of the program, including: Alicia Pizarro Dominguez, an expert in Educational Technology and Andragogy; Carmen Marta Lazo, director of the Entremedios Digital Platform; and Les Foltos, director of Peer-Ed and leader of the team that helps 48 countries implement Peer Coaching.
