E-book outlines ways for edtech companies to form partnerships with higher education institutions
For years, the practices adopted by institutions of higher education (HEIs) remained virtually unchanged. Today, the educational landscape is undergoing continuous and permanent transformation. And this has a lot to do with the edtech companies, companies that offer digital solutions in the field of education.
Currently, they have been growing gradually and consistently in Brazil. According to the 2022 Edtech Survey, conducted by the Brazilian Association of Startups (Abstartups), there are 813 edtech companies in Brazil. This represents a 44% increase compared to the last survey, conducted in 2020.
With this audience in mind, the e-book “Paths to Innovation in Higher Education” was released, developed by Bett Brasil and the Simplifica by Layers Ecosystem. The goal of the publication is to speak directly to managers of startups in the education sector to help them properly position their products and streamline their connections with higher education institutions—that is, their primary customers.
Among the questions the guide aims to answer are:
● Which department within a higher education institution should be contacted first?
● How can negotiations with the institution be expedited?
● What leads higher education institutions to stop investing in in-house solutions and hire an edtech company? When does the organization feel confident enough to make such an investment?
● What are the key factors in deciding to hire edtech companies?
● How do you choose the best business model?
● Why are well-drafted contracts important?
● Why is it essential to follow ethical guidelines?
The answers to these and other questions aim to contribute to the development of a robust and healthy ecosystem in the field of technology applied to education.
