The Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (Inep) published the dates for the 2023 National High School Exam (Enem) in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU). According to the administrative order, registration for the regular version of the exam—both paper-based and digital—will take place from May 8 to 19, and the exams will be administered on November 5 and 12. ENEM 2023 Schedule:

- Registration: May 8–19, 2023;

- Exam dates: November 5 and 12, 2023;

- Release of the answer key: November 24, 2023;

- Announcement of results: January 16, 2024.

The exam schedule for inmates was also released. In this case, registration will take place from October 9 to 27, and the exam will be administered on December 12 and 13.

Inep warns, however, that the exam dates may be “changed at the Institute’s discretion due to the need to adjust the stages involved in administering the exam or the unfeasibility of any of those stages.”

In addition, the agency has released the schedule for other assessments, including the National Exam for the Certification of Youth and Adult Skills (Encceja), the National Student Performance Exam (Enade), the Basic Education Assessment System (Saeb), and the 2023 Basic Education School Census.
