On September 4 and 5, the city of Recife (PE) will host the Bett Nordeste Conference, an educational event organized by Bett Brasil and co-hosted by the Union of Educational Institutions in the State of Pernambuco (Sinepe-PE).

The event aims to foster dialogue about the future of basic education —both public and private—in Brazil and will be held at the Recife Expo Center, the first convention center in the capital of Pernambuco. Admission is free, and registration can be completed online at this link.

Municipal secretaries of education, school operators, administrators, teachers, and experts from the education sector will be in attendance to share experiences, foster new ideas, and discuss the challenges and future directions of learning in the Northeast region and throughout Brazil.

In all, there will be more than 40 speakers spread across three auditoriums, as well as an area dedicated to showcasing products, services, and solutions for educational institutions.

“Through its regional events, Bett Brasil remains committed to fostering connections and dialogue throughout the year, expanding its reach by including more educators in the conversation to shape the future of Brazilian education. The choice of Pernambuco’s capital was no coincidence; education in the Northeast is among the sectors that have evolved the most in recent years, thanks to consistent and ongoing efforts in both the public and private sectors,” says Claudia Valério, executive director of Bett Brasil.

AI and IE

The Bett Nordeste Conference will feature a series of panel discussions centered on the theme: “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) in Education: What Should We Learn?” Among the main topics to be discussed are issues related to digital ethics, personalized learning, the emotional development of students and educators, and inclusive leadership.

“It’s not just about evaluating technology in education. More and more, we need to integrate it purposefully, taking into account the impact of two key elements on the daily lives of teachers, students, administrators, and school operators: Artificial Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence. “Let’s discuss what we can learn from these two ‘languages’ and how to leverage them as drivers for quality, equitable education for all,” says Adriana Martinelli, Director of Content at Bett Brasil.

Schedule

Among the guest speakers are educators and experts in the field who are leading figures in the Northeast region, such as Alex Sandro Gomes, full professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE); Pierre Lucena, CEO of Porto Digital; Paula Carneiro Leão, director and partner at Escola Vila Aprendiz; Patrycia Alves, Innovation Manager at the University of Pernambuco (UPE); Rossandro Klinjey, psychologist and writer; and Luciano Meira, professor at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE).

The panels at the Bett Nordeste Conference will be presented in two formats strategically designed to encourage interaction between the audience and speakers: the “Roda de Conversa” auditorium, moderated by education journalists, and the “Aquário” auditorium, which features an empty chair on stage so that anyone from the audience can take a seat and join the conversation. There is also the “Bett Arena,” an auditorium open to the public free of charge. The goal is to spark interesting, rich, and collaborative discussions for the exchange of experiences and ideas.

Those interested in attending the event can register as a “conference participant,” with access to all content and the exhibition area, or as a “visitor,” with free access to the auditorium lectures, in addition to the exhibition area.
