The Ministry of Education (MEC) established, through Administrative Order No. 28/2023, the Standing Committee for Planning and Management of the Federal Network for Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education (CPPG). The objective is to plan, monitor, and evaluate the programs and initiatives of the institutions that make up the Federal Network for Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education.

According to the Administrative Order, the Committee is responsible for supporting the annual planning of coordinated actions between the Secretariat of Professional and Technological Education (Setec) of the Ministry of Education (MEC) and the institutions of the Federal Network; as well as for evaluating, monitoring, and proposing actions based on the indicators agreed upon with the oversight bodies and in accordance with the Federal Network’s Budget Matrix.

The Committee will also suggest measures necessary for the implementation of programs aimed at promoting vocational and technical education and will propose methodologies for the management and development of the Federal Network, including the strengthening of applied research, technology extension, and innovation.

At the end of each fiscal year, the CPPG will submit an annual activity report to Setec to assist managers in their decision-making.

Education

The Committee will consist of one representative from the Setec Office, in addition to the six regular members from Setec’s units. Representing the Federal Network will be seven regular representatives and two alternate representatives from the National Council of Institutions of the Federal Network for Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education (Conif), as well as one regular representative and one alternate representative from the National Council of Directors of Technical Schools Affiliated with Federal Universities (Condetuf).

The members of the Committee will be appointed by the Secretary of Professional and Technological Education, Getúlio Marques Ferreira, within 30 days of the publication of the Administrative Order.

The Committee will meet regularly every three months, and experts and technical specialists may participate in the meetings to provide information or contribute to the items on the agenda. These activities will be considered relevant public service and will not be remunerated.
