Microsoft Partners with Educational Organizations to Provide Training in Artificial Intelligence
São Paulo, December 5, 2019 – Microsoft has entered into a partnership to provide training to students and professionals in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The agreement was signed with ABMES (Brazilian Association of Higher Education Institutions), Bett Educar, and the Movimento Brasil Digital. The signing, which took place during the AI + Tour, a Microsoft artificial intelligence event, is part of Microsoft’s initiatives aimed at training a total of approximately 25,000 people in AI in Brazil.
The partnership involves developing a schedule of activities and jointly promoting Microsoft’s free AI training initiatives, offered on the AcademIA portal through courses and webinars ranging from basic to advanced topics, as well as providing access to the AI Business School, which is geared toward non-technical learning with a focus on digital business transformation.
In addition, the AcademIA training program calls for the joint development of a curriculum adoption plan for the training and certification of professionals in Microsoft’s AI technologies. Microsoft will provide technical experts specializing in the technology for in-person or digital events and presentations. Through ABMES (Brazilian Association of Higher Education Institutions) alone, 30 higher education institutions will be selected to participate in the pilot phase of the AI training program,
