Learning Workshops: An Update for Classroom Practices
Group training provides opportunities for interaction and the exchange of knowledge. And learning workshops have proven to be very effective for the continuing education of educators. When well-led, they demonstrate how theoretical knowledge can be applied to the challenges faced in the classroom, contributing to more effective teaching practices. This is exactly what attendees at Bett Educar will experience inthe “Learning Workshops” that are part of the event’s program.
Workshops are opportunities for active, hands-on work aimed at solving problems. They are not passive activities; they are “hands-on” experiences where the main goal is to engage participants in a learning process that can be directly applied in the classroom.
"Conducting workshops at major events allows for hands-on, reflective, and purposeful learning. Collectively, participants will connect meanings and signifiers, embodying the magic of transdisciplinarity and synchronicity. These workshops are disruptive, urgent, and necessary pedagogical innovations in the daily practice of continuing education,” explains Graça Santos, a Design Thinking facilitator at Instituto Educadigital/Orientando quem Orienta, who will lead one of these sessions at Bett Educar.
Graça Santos will demonstrate how Design Thinking (DT) is a new way of thinking about and approaching problems—which are, in fact, challenges—that places personas at the center of the solution. “Participants can look forward to a Design Thinking Master Class for Educators, where they’ll have the opportunity to put thoughts, ideas, and actions into practice through discovery, interpretation, collaboration, prototyping, and evolution. In other words, everyone will co-create new designs for teaching and learning,” the expert explained.
Just like the Design Thinking workshop led by Graça Santos, conference attendees will have access to practical knowledge through a total of eight learning workshops during the event. Two topics will be covered each day, ranging from Design Thinking to mindfulness meditation for the classroom, and from artificial intelligence to data literacy.
Join the Bett Educar Conference and sign up here for the learning workshops. Space is limited.
