A space for in-depth discussions, connections, and networking. That was the purpose of the first edition of the Bett Meeting, a new event organized by Bett Brasil to foster dialogue and networking, held on Wednesday (the 8th). The event brought together industry leaders and managers for a panel discussion to share experiences, innovations, and best practices related to higher education in Brazil.

Present at the debate were the president of the São Camilo University Center and president of ANEC, Fr. João Batista Gomes de Lima; FAAP’s head of public relations, Luciana Palhete; and the president of UNISUAM and chair of the G7 Council, Arapuan Motta Netto. The event was moderated by Débora Guerra, vice president of the Brazilian Association of Higher Education Institutions (ABMES).

On that occasion, Lima listed several academic and administrative initiatives developed by São Camilo University Center, such as the development of new health-related courses, the realistic simulation centers, and the entrepreneurship and innovation centers, as well as the creation of internal marketing campaigns and spaces designed to welcome students. 

“The most important thing is for us to look carefully and thoughtfully toward our students’ future. We must take action so that they feel comfortable and have confidence in what the institution does best, which is providing an education that prepares true professionals for the workforce,” said the university president.

He also highlighted the opportunity provided by the Bett Meeting to connect the educational community. “May the event take place more often to foster greater integration and the sharing of experiences among people. This allows all institutions to benefit significantly, both in the fields of education and technology,” Lima emphasized.

Luciana highlighted the new phase in FAAP’s organizational culture management, marked by the implementation of projects, greater openness to the market, and increased use of data, linking the pillars of processes, people, and technology. “The institution is reinventing itself, bringing in professionals with up-to-date perspectives, and the students themselves have been participating in this transformation process,” she said. 

According to FAAP’s head of public relations, higher education needs more events like the one organized by Bett Brasil. “The event offered a fresh perspective on technology and innovation that helped us reflect on our daily lives and, more than that, gave us the opportunity to share experiences,” she said.

Netto, for his part, spoke about UNISUAM’s management model and how the organization has been operating in Rio de Janeiro, addressing its responsibilities and its impact on society. In addition, the president also highlighted the fixed monthly tuition offered for the programs as one of the ways to retain students, since the model ensures greater financial predictability. “As a result, we’ve seen a reduction in dropout rates and achieved an exponential increase in student enrollment,” he revealed.

As the session moderator, the vice president of ABMES praised the speakers’ expertise and their proposals for advancing education in the country. “The panel showed that institutions are taking action and striving for the best in order to provide students and the community with a quality education,” concluded Débora. At the end, the audience had the opportunity to ask questions and interact with everyone during a valuable networking session .

The Bett Meeting is yet another forum for discussion and networking organized by Bett Brasil, bringing together experts, companies, and education professionals to contribute new discussions and ideas for the country’s education sector.
