The Transformative Educator Award Extends the Application Deadline to August 18
Innovative educational projects focused on challenges such as climate and mental health are eligible to apply

The deadline for entries for the Transformative Educator Award has been extended to August 18. The award, sponsored by Sebrae, Bett Brasil, and the Significare Institute, is now in its third edition. The goal is to identify, recognize, and promote educational ideas and projects with transformative potential, conceived by educators from across Brazil—from early childhood education through higher education—that focus on entrepreneurial education.

The theme of this edition is“Education to Address Crises and Build Regenerative Futures.” Teachers, school administrators, and school district administrators may submit their ideas or projects in three categories: Pedagogical Innovation and Active Learning Methods; Transformative School Management; and Inclusion and Sustainability in Education. In previous years, the competition received 6,400 entries from all regions of the country.

One of this year's new features is the AI-supported development workshop that will be offered to participants, helping to improve the projects and make them more applicable to local contexts.

Cecília Miranda, deputy manager of Entrepreneurial Education at Sebrae, says the award provides visibility and support to educators working in different regions of Brazil. “The beauty of the award lies in shining a light on people from various corners of the country. Teachers often feel alone and abandoned, and the award is a way of saying: you are not alone. Brazil has incredible potential, and we want to show everyone that strength, she said.

According to Wellington Cruz, president of the Significare Institute, this edition marks the beginning of a new phase in the history of the Award, which has been completely revamped and is now focused on the future. “In addition to incredible prizes, such as participation in Bett UK, the training program using artificial intelligence—available to all qualified candidates—points toward the future of education and is already a great prize in and of itself,” he notes.

“More than just an award, the Transformative Educator Award has established itself as a space for professional development and exchange among educators from across the country,” says Adriana Martinelli, director of content at Bett Brasil. “In this edition, we want to expand this movement with a professional development program that brings together artificial intelligence, design thinking, and peer collaboration. Our goal is to support participants from the initial idea through to the implementation of solutions that truly make a difference in Brazilian education.”

Awards

The award winners will have the opportunity to participate in an international mission to Bett UK. Among the prizes, the winners will receive laptops (3rd place), gain access to a national mission (2nd place), an international trip, and the opportunity to pursue an MBA funded by Sebrae (1st place). The winners of the final round are scheduled to be announced in April 2026, during Bett Brasil.
