Would you like to help shape the future of education in Brazil?
Scheduled to take place from May 10 to 13, 2022, at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo, Bett Brasil will host the country’s leading gathering of education administrators, teachers, experts, and industry players in the first half of the year. Organized around the theme “Co-creating the Education of the Future,” the event coincides with the return to in-person learning at educational institutions and the challenges that come with it.
“The timing couldn’t be better for us to consider which
...will be the roles of educational institutions in the dynamics of
the development of today's youth. We have a new present and a new
"the future, and it is crucial to reflect on education in this context,", says Adriana Martinelli, content director at Bett Brasil.
According to her, in addition to the exhibition—which will feature more than 270 companies in the industry—Bett Brasil 2022 will offer more than 110 hours of content and nearly 200 speakers over the course of the four-day event, with both in-person and digital content.
“We have identified topics that allow us to reflect on the current state of Brazilian education from the perspective of inclusion and diversity, educational management focused on equity, social-emotional skills and mental health, as well as innovation and future scenarios,” she explains. According to her, the purpose of the event is to facilitate dialogue among the different sectors of the field, in a neutral environment that fosters collaboration. “Interaction between different realities is essential for developing guidelines that will enable us to overcome obstacles and create educational policies that are in line not only with the country’s current reality but also with the society we want to be part of in the future,” says the director of content at Bett Brasil.
Several experts and educators have already been confirmed for Bett Brasil 2022. Among them are Kátia Smole (São Paulo State Board of Education, director of Instituto Reúna and Mathema); Luciana Allan (director of Instituto Crescer); Rafael Ávila (director of Innovation and Trends at Ânima Educação); Júlia Andrade (Ativa Educação); Alexandre Sayad (director of ZeitGeist and co-chairman of the UNESCO MIL Alliance); Beia Carvalho (futurist at 5 Years From Now); Lilian Bacich (co-founder of Tríade Educacional); Marina Pinheiro (professor in the Graduate Program in Cognitive Psychology at the Federal University of Pernambuco—UFPE); Sandra Tudisco (consultant in Human and Organizational Development); and Ricardo Madeira (economist and founding partner of Tuneduc).
Learning Workshops
In addition to the extensive lineup of lectures, several learning workshops are scheduled. “The experience of engaging with new dynamics, practices, and methodologies is an essential part of students’ education, but for educators, this interaction is extremely enriching,” says Adriana.
The following workshops have already been confirmed for the learning program: “Circle of Inventions,” with Simone Kubric Lederman; “Teach Like a Gamer and Play Like a Teacher,” with Francisco Tupy; “Collaborative Projects Based on Eduscrum,” with Marcelo Augusto Rauh Schmitt; Listening as a Learning Tool, with Luciana Martinelli; Learning Through Physical Movement, with Carla Salvagni; Sound-Based Learning, with Thiago Martins; Mindfulness: Transforming the School Environment, with Daniela Degani; Disruptive Practices, with Diego Moreira; and How to Do Backward Planning, with Alessandra Pereira.
