Find out what you'll experience at the Bett Educar 2020 Conference

The main theme that will guide the Bett Educar 2020 Conference is a question: “Does today’s education prepare us for the future?” Over 154 hours of lectures will be held in six auditoriums during the four-day event to answer this question.

As such, Bett Educar sheds light on the key issues shaping education in Brazil and around the world, such as inclusion and assistive technologies, high school education and the new job market, vocational education, entrepreneurship education, and artificial intelligence, to name a few.

The Advisory Board, which helped shape the program—from its thematic areas and overarching themes to the names of the keynote speakers—is composed of renowned experts in the field. The lineup of presentations will cover 24 overarching themes based on four guiding principles:

Management — In a highly competitive and ever-changing world, schools and educational institutions must constantly adapt. Thus, this overarching theme aims to bring to the conference examples of success and trends in the sector, both in Brazil and around the world.

Teacher Training – Social changes, which are also influenced by the digital transformation, have created a need for increasingly well-prepared professionals. To this end, ongoing training is essential, and it should include innovation, creativity, and an entrepreneurial mindset. The goal is to encourage participating educators to innovate in order to prepare their students for the changes of the new era.

Technology – Technology is one of the strengths of the National Common Core Curriculum (BNCC). The guest speakers are tasked with inspiring participants to prepare to implement the changes needed to integrate digital technologies into the school curriculum, in order to provide a higher-quality and more equitable education.

Public Policy - The new school must engage with today’s reality, adapt to students’ needs, and prepare them to live in society and face the challenges of a dynamic and demanding job market. In this regard, the presentations at the Bett Educar 2020 Conference will discuss public policies, which must be aligned with the changes that will impact students’ lives and their professional training.
