Antonio Valerio Netto

Antonio Valerio Netto is a specialist in data science and AI at IAMSPE-EKAN and the coordinator of the graduate program in AI and data science in healthcare at Sírio-Libanês Digital College. He is also a researcher in Technological Development and Innovative Outreach at CNPq. He was an affiliated and visiting professor in the Department of Health Informatics at the Escola Paulista de Medicina (UNIFESP). He holds a postdoctoral degree from the IEP at Hospital Sírio-Libanês. He earned his Ph.D. in computer science from ICMC/USP; a master’s degree in engineering from EESC/USP; a specialization in health informatics from UNIFESP; an MBA in Marketing from FUNDACE-USP; as well as a bachelor’s degree in computer science from UFSCar and a technical degree in computer science from ETEP. In 2003, he founded Cientistas Desenvolvimento Tecnológico, a company focused on software development that was recognized by Sebrae SP in 2009 as one of the most innovative small businesses in the state of São Paulo. In 2007, he founded XBot, the country’s first mobile robotics company, which won the national entrepreneurship award and the MPE Brasil Award for outstanding best practices in social responsibility. He has authored over 120 publications, including books and national and international scientific articles. Among them is the book *Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare*. He has received numerous awards, including the UNIDAS Award (National Union of Self-Managed Health Institutions), the Alexandrino Garcia Award from the Algar Group in the entrepreneurship category, the ABSEG Award from the Brazilian Association of Security Professionals, and first place in the Police Technologies (StartPol) competition, among others; he is also an honorary professor at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana (Argentina).
