Bete Rodrigues
Bete P. Rodrigues holds a bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature (Portuguese and English) and a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from PUC-SP. She is a Positive Discipline trainer for parents and professionals—certified by the Positive Discipline Association (PDA)—and has co-translated 10 books in the Positive Discipline series, among other materials. She has been working in the field of education for over 40 years. She has taught children, adolescents, and adults at universities, private schools, language institutes, nonprofit organizations, and public schools in São Paulo. She has extensive experience training teachers, administrators, and parent educators, having served as coordinator and academic director at private schools, social institutions, and colleges. She was a professor at COGEAE/PUC-SP from 2006 to 2024. Her last course there was “Social-Emotional Practices and Positive Discipline.” She also recorded lectures on Attachment, Child Care, and Empathy for PUC-RS. She is an educational consultant, speaker, and leads workshops at various schools for teachers, coordinators, and administrative staff. She is the author of two children’s books published by Literare Kids (“Nature Outside the Box”) and the author of the book “14 Essential Competencies of the Parental Educator—for Professionals Who Guide Parents,” published by Manole. She is a co-author and/or has written the foreword for 13 books on education and parenting.
