With a degree in Public Administration from FGV and a specialization in International Relations, Cecília has implemented innovative public management projects in states and municipalities through the nonprofit sector. She served as Municipal Secretary of Education and headed the Human Resources Department at the São Paulo State Department of Education.

She recently served as Chief of the Management Office for the City of Recife, where she was responsible for monitoring strategic projects and outcomes, as well as managing the city’s performance results, and as Deputy Secretary of Education for Recife.

Currently, at the invitation of Mayor João Campos, she holds the position of Secretary of Education for Recife, where she is responsible for school affairs in one of Brazil’s largest state capitals.
