A tenured teacher in the Campo Grande Municipal School System, he holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography, a Lato Sensu postgraduate degree (specialization) in School Administration, and a master’s degree in Education. He is an R2 Reserve Cavalry Officer in the Brazilian Army, having graduated from the Reserve Officers’ Training Course of the 20th Armored Cavalry Regiment, 4th Mechanized Cavalry Brigade, Brazilian Army. He has taught Geography in the municipal and state school systems in Campo Grande, served as Head of the Geography Department at the Campo Grande Municipal Department of Education, Coordinator of Environmental Education at the Campo Grande Municipal Department of Education, School Administrator at the Professora Maria Tereza Rodrigues Municipal School within the Campo Grande Municipal School System, and Vice President of the Council of Principals, Assistant Principals of Municipal Schools, and Directors of CEINFs in Campo Grande (CONDAEM). He served as Coordinator of Basic Education at the Mato Grosso do Sul State Department of Education (SED/MS), Superintendent of Network Management and Standardization at the Mato Grosso do Sul State Department of Education (SED/MS), Superintendent of Budget and Finance at the Mato Grosso do Sul State Department of Education —SED/MS, and a member of the National Technical Commission on Geography for the Ministry of Education’s National Program for Textbooks and Teaching Materials (PNLD 2020). He also served as State Coordinator of the State Management Committee for Literacy and the National Pact for Literacy at the Right Age (PNAIC) of the Ministry of Education, Chair of the State Commission for the discussion of the National Common Core Curriculum, and Advisor to the Monitoring and Social Control Council of FUNDEB in Mato Grosso do Sul (CACS) - FUNDEB. He served as State Coordinator of the Program to Support the Implementation of the National Common Core Curriculum (ProBNCC) in Mato Grosso do Sul for the Ministry of Education and as a consultant to the Curriculum and New High School Education Front of the National Council of State Secretaries of Education (CONSED).He also served as Superintendent of Educational Policies at the Mato Grosso do Sul State Department of Education (SUPED/SED), Chair of the Mato Grosso do Sul State Board of Education (CEE/MS), and member of the National Forum of State Boards of Education (FNCEE).He currently serves as State Secretary of Education for Mato Grosso do Sul, a member of the National Council of State Secretaries of Education (CONSED), and a member of the Technical-Scientific Council for Basic Education at CAPES.
