Isabel has focused her studies and professional career on the three pillars of Technology, Research, and Education. She is currently the Innovation Management Director at Ceibal, where she oversees the strategic direction of the EdTech innovation project portfolio and, in particular, co-leads the strategy for the EduIA Lab (Ceibal’s education and artificial intelligence laboratory). At the same time, she serves as a part-time lecturer in the School of Engineering at UdelaR in Uruguay. Previously, she worked as a professor and researcher at French universities, focusing on techno-economic modeling of telecommunications networks. She holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (2007) from the University of the Republic, Uruguay; a PhD in Computer Science (2010) from Telecom Bretagne, France; and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UdelaR, as well as certification to supervise research (2024) from the University of Western Brittany, France.
