Leandro Karnal is a historian with a Ph.D. in Social History from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a member of the São Paulo Academy of Letters. He was a professor at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) for more than two decades.

Nationally recognized as a writer, speaker, and opinion leader, he is the author of several bestsellers and a columnist for the newspaper *O Estado de S. Paulo*.
