Leonardo Pascoal is an economist with a degree in Public Administration and a specialist in budgeting, governance, and risk management in the public sector. A career employee at Banco do Brasil, he served as a city councilmember, Secretary of Education, and mayor of Esteio for two terms. He also served as president of Granpal—the Association and Consortium of Municipalities of the Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region—and the Pró-Sinos Public Consortium for Basic Sanitation. He currently serves as Secretary of Education for Porto Alegre and president of CONSEC—the National Council of Education Secretaries of State Capitals.
