Leyla Nascimento is the Founder and CEO of the Capacitare Group; she is Chair of the Executive Board of the Brazilian Human Resources Association. She served as President of the WFPMA—World Federation of People Management Associations, which brings together 93 countries—from 2018 to 2020. She was the first woman worldwide to hold this position in the World Federation’s 42-year history. She is Vice President of the Confederation of Associations of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (CRHLP), which brings together six Portuguese-speaking countries. She is a former President of FIDAGH—the Inter-American Federation of Human Resource Management, which brings together 15 Latin American countries—from 2015 to 2017. She is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Administration. She has been active for over 40 years in projects and programs focused on HR and leadership development in Brazil and other countries. An HR specialist, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from UERJ—Rio de Janeiro State University—and a postgraduate degree in Education and HR Development from UFRJ—Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from FGV RJ.
