Marcelo Pérez Alfaro
Senior Education Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
He is one of the leaders of the team focused on Digital Transformation in Education and Smart Management. He joined the IDB in 2003 and has led policy and program discussions with Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Paraguay, and Suriname, in addition to developing projects in Chile, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic. He has extensive experience in leading and managing strategic and budgetary planning for major programs and social organizations, such as Argentina’s National Social Security Administration and the National Institute of Social Services for Retirees and Pensioners.
He holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, a postgraduate degree in Economics from the Di Tella Institute, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Argentina.
