Marcelo Tas
Marcelo Tas is a broadcaster and educator. His work focuses on exploring the frontiers of language across the various media in which he is active. His notable works include: the fictional reporter Ernesto Varela; the series “Rá-Tim-Bum” (TV Cultura); “CQC” (Band); and the reality show “Batalha Makers” (Discovery).
In the field of education, Tas oversaw the creation of Telecurso (Roberto Marinho Foundation/TV Globo) and interactive games for the Museum of the Portuguese Language in São Paulo and for the Museum of Tomorrow in Rio de Janeiro.
He has about 10 million followers online. In 2023, one of his works was included in “Signals,” a historic retrospective featuring artists who have helped expand the language of video art at MoMA—the Museum of Modern Art—in New York.
Marcelo Tas currently hosts the program *Provoca* and serves as a commentator for *Jornal da Cultura*, both on TV Cultura; he is a Distinguished Member of the I2AI (International Association for Artificial Intelligence) and a member of the Advisory Board of the Osesp Foundation—São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra.
