Maria Xavier is the academic director at Fluencypass, an edtech company specializing in English language instruction with innovative solutions for K-12 education and exchange programs. With over 20 years of experience as a teacher, author of instructional materials, teacher trainer, and educational administrator, she holds a TESOL certificate from ILAC International College Canada. She also holds a postgraduate degree in Language Education from the Norwich Institute of Language Education (UK) and specializes in Instructional Design and Educational Technologies from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Her work focuses on teacher training, pedagogical innovation, and the development of curricula aligned with the BNCC and the CEFR. Currently, she is also dedicated to educational leadership projects and engagement strategies in digital learning environments. Throughout her professional career, she has worked at institutions such as the British Council, Itaú Social, the Museum of Tomorrow, and Cultura Inglesa, among others.
