Rafael Ferreira Leite de Mello

Rafael Ferreira Mello is a Senior Researcher at CESAR and an Associate Professor at UFRPE, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UFPE and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He also holds a certificate in public policy implementation from Harvard University. His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence applied to education, with an emphasis on Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models. He currently leads projects funded by the Ministry of Education and companies such as Google in the field of AI for education, focusing primarily on AI-based solutions to improve student assessment processes in resource-constrained contexts.
