Sílvio Meira is a distinguished professor at Cesar School, professor emeritus at the UFPE Center for Information Technology (cin.ufpe.br) in Recife, and one of the founders of Digital Strategy Company — TDS.company — and Porto Digital, where he serves as chairman of the Board of Directors. He serves on the boards of CI&T, Magalu, MRV, BBCE, and Tempest, as well as on the innovation committees of Ânima, Ypê, and DPSP.

He works in the fields of strategy, digital transformation, software engineering, innovation, new business ventures, and education. He is a retired full professor at CIN; he founded (in 1996) and served as chief scientist at C.E.S.A.R. — the Recife Center for Advanced Studies and Systems — until 2014. He was a fellow and faculty associate at the Berkman Klein Center at Harvard University from 2012 to 2015, and an associate professor at the FGV Rio Law School from 2014 to 2017.
