Soraya has been the coordinator of Thomas Maker since 2015. She is a librarian, a designer of active narratives for K-12 education, and a specialist in maker education, creative learning, media literacy, and teacher training. She holds a bachelor’s degree in information science and a master’s degree in information technology from the University of Brasília; she is a specialist in media literacy from the University of Rhode Island and a Google Educator. In charge of the Maker Educator Certification program at Casa Thomas Jefferson, she is also the coordinator of the Brazilian Creative Learning Network in Brasília, a facilitator and content producer for Educamídia, and co-author of the book *Aprendizagens Visíveis* [2023 – Panda Publishing] and the book “Cardume: Transformation Begins in Early Childhood Education” [2024 – MapaLab Publishing].
