Undime Pernambuco is a nonprofit civil association with administrative, financial, and property autonomy, headquartered in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, which represents municipal education directors.

Undime respects and represents the diversity of the state. To that end, with a view to its consolidation and institutional strengthening, it adopts the following political and administrative strategies:

a) Remain above party politics;
b) Fight to defend public education with a social focus;
c) Strengthen coordination and dialogue with government sectors
d) Organize the DME by providing political, technical, and
resources e) Collect, produce, and disseminate information related to ethics, a culture of peace, citizenship, human rights, democracy, and education, based on integrated and participatory planning.
