Designing Connections: Practices to Promote Social Health and Well-Being in Schools

May 5, 2026
Creative Space
Basic Education
In this workshop, we will explore Connection Design as a practical and innovative approach to strengthening social well-being in the school environment. Through active methodologies and collaborative strategies, participants will learn how to plan, create, and sustain communities of learning and practice that foster more meaningful relationships within the school. Throughout the workshop, educators will gain an understanding of how different types of connections can enhance a sense of belonging, foster shared responsibility, and encourage engagement among students, teachers, administrators, families, and staff. We will also discuss how support networks and socially nurturing environments influence collective well-being, reduce conflicts, and promote school cultures that are more supportive, inclusive, and participatory.
