Amid the growing presence of artificial intelligence in education, the need for clarity is also growing: what, in fact, changes in the teacher’s role—and what cannot be delegated to algorithms? Inspired by the book *The Augmented Teacher: Reimagining the Teaching Role in the Age of AI*, this session offers a conversation guided by the book’s central ideas, combining a dialog-based presentation with thought-provoking questions. More than simply presenting tools, the session invites participants to reflect on teacher identity, pedagogical choices, and ethical responsibilities in a context where human, collective, and artificial intelligences coexist.

Throughout the session, we will discuss issues such as broadening the teacher’s perspective with the support of AI, the risks of uncritical automation, the centrality of pedagogical judgment, and the teacher’s role as a mediator of meaning, curator of experiences, and guardian of the human element in education.
