Have you seen the trend of hitting teachers? Or the one where students sneak into live classroom streams? Have you seen the students who had their diplomas revoked for badmouthing their program on social media? Anyone who hasn’t faced digital issues that have invaded or originated in schools isn’t living on planet Earth. Violence has been on the rise—both violence against children and adolescents and violence perpetrated by them. It has become urgent to reflect on these issues and develop community-based strategies to address them. Together, we’ll examine the main risks our students face and explore strategies that can help create healthier environments. We’ll look at real-life cases, and I hope we’ll leave better prepared to support the school community and families.
