Ceibal is Uruguay’s technology-driven educational innovation center. For 20 years, it has promoted the use of technology to improve learning and strengthen the educational community, with a focus on equity and inclusion.
In this talk, Isabel will present Ceibal’s journey in integrating artificial intelligence into education, addressing the topic from various complementary perspectives: AI literacy programs for teachers and students, the development and strategic use of AI-based tools, evidence from recent research, and teachers’ real-world perceptions of AI use in education.
Based on this approach, Ceibal seeks to advance the strategy of artificial intelligence in education in a critical, ethical, and responsible manner, with the goal of enhancing learning and preparing students and teachers for the challenges of the present and the future.
