BETT EDUCAR HOSTS REGIONAL MEETING IN BRASÍLIA (DF)

Bett Educar Editorial Team

Bett Educar, a renowned international event held annually in São Paulo, is taking on new challenges. On September 4 (Wednesday), it will host the Regional Meeting in Brasília (DF)—three others will take place in Salvador (BA) on September 24; Curitiba (PR) on October 29; and Manaus (AM)—date to be confirmed. The goal of the Regional Meetings is to bring key discussions about the new directions of Brazilian education and global trends in technology and innovation outside of São Paulo to educators and administrators in the public and private sectors. In Brasília, the event will be held at the Israel Pinheiros Convention Center—SHDB QL 32, Conjunto 1, Bloco A, Lago Sul—ZIP Code 71.676-10; Brasília/DF.

The purpose of the Bett Educar Regional Meetings is to provide educators from other regions of the country with an in-depth look at current topics, as well as those addressed at the event held in São Paulo. “Brazil has geographic regions that differ greatly from one another, as well as specific characteristics in education. Therefore, it is necessary to engage in a diverse discussion of the key issues affecting Brazilian and global education in other cities, introduce educators from these regions to Bett Educar, and listen to and understand local realities,” explains Maria Alice Carraturi, content director at Bett Educar.

For the first Regional Meeting in Brasília, the main topics will be changes in education resulting from the BNCC, the new high school system and its educational pathways, bilingual education and the internationalization of schools, social-emotional skills, active teaching methods, teacher training for the new curriculum, current public policies, and how Brasília is faring in relation to them.

With expertise in topics related to the integration of education with technology and innovation, the Regional Conference in Brasília will feature lectures, workshops, and presentations of educational case studies that emphasize Digital Literacy, one of the general competencies outlined in the BNCC. With this in mind, the event aims to foster discussion on digital transformation, technology, and innovation in schools.
