The Global Education Council is an initiative of Bett, the organizer of the world’s leading education events. On Friday, January 24, experts and visionaries from the world’s most prestigious educational organizations and institutions—members of the Global Education Council—will participate in a live panel discussion at Bett, held at The Arena at ExCeL London, where they will share their insights and research on the challenges and opportunities for 2030.

The Global Education Council aims to set the tone for education on a global scale. Together with Bett President Jose Papa (former MD, Cannes Lions), the Council will lead the global transformation of innovation in education while shaping the world’s educational ecosystem.

The Bett subsidiary group held its first virtual meeting in 2019, organized by Bett, during which members shared and compared their educational experiences in their own regions and settings. There was a consensus among the group’s members that, globally, we are only beginning to unlock the transformative potential of technology in education. The Council agreed that its goal will be to foster thought-provoking conversations in order to disseminate information and research that can help drive continuous progress in education.

As the formal organizational anchor of the Global Education Council, Bett has a natural synergy with it. Both are communities of thinkers focused on the future of education, as well as on the impact that technology can have on it. Bett is, therefore, the ideal venue to bring the Council together to discuss and harness the true intellectual capital capable of influencing educational practices, research, and policies around the world.
