Managers' Forum Features Panels on Best Management Practices and Success Stories
The Brazilian educational landscape requires administrators to pay close attention to a variety of aspects, ranging from teaching and learning models and the acceleration of digital transformation to people management strategies. In this regard, the Bett Brazil, Latin America's largest education and technology conference, provides an annual forum for interaction among education administrators and their peers, with a focus on sharing ideas and real-world experiences.
The Managers’ Forum is aimed at administrators and leaders of private K-12 educational institutions and will take place over the four days of the event, featuring panels focused on strategic issues in Brazilian education, such as political, economic, and financial aspects; human resources management; finance; continuing education for teachers; school digitization, marketing, technological innovations, the digital transformation of institutions, and adapting teaching and learning to the world of today and tomorrow.
With 16 panels led by professionals working in the field of education, the Managers’ Forum program will align with the central theme of Bett Brasil: “Education and Work for New Futures.” The opening panel will be led by Bruno Elias, CEO of Grupo Salta; Thamila Zaher, executive director of Grupo SEB; Mário Ghio Jr., academic vice president of Somos Educação; and Ari de Sá Neto, CEO of Arco Educação.
Among other highlights, on May 10, the panel “How to Balance Academic Excellence and Financial Sustainability?” will feature Wallace Morato, Chief Financial and Technology Officer at Escola Beit Yaacov; Danilo Costa, founder and CEO of Educbank; and Euvaldo Ruiz, CEO of Ruiz Educação e Consultoria. On May 11, the panel “Social Media and Schools: Effective Crisis Management” will be led by Alessandra Borelli, partner and CEO of Opice Blum Academy; Alexandre Le Voci Sayad, director of ZeitGeist – Education, Culture, and Media; and Januaria Cristina Alves, director of Entrepalavras Produção de Textos.
On the event’s final day, May 12, artificial intelligence and ChatGPT will be discussed during the panel “ChatGPT: New Possibilities and Pathways,” featuring Vera Cabral, Director of Education and Skilling at Microsoft Brazil; Ricardo Wagner, Director of Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Brazil; and Marcelo Vannini, CIO of Universidade Paulista (UNIP).
The agenda for the Administrators’ Forum also features presentations by professionals such as: Leo Gmeiner, founder and CEO of School Guardian; Lucinha Magalhães, pedagogical coordinator at the CEDAC Educational Community; Ana Ligia Scachetti, executive director of the Nova Escola Association; Erik Horner, General Director of Colégio Humboldt; Bruno Alvarez, Vice Director of Educational Innovations at Colégio Pentágono; Emerson Bento, Director of Educational Technology at Colégio Bandeirantes; Esther Carvalho, General Director of Colégio Rio Branco; Paula Leão, Director of Escola Vila Aprendiz; Luciana Palhete, Relationship Coordinator at the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP); Jonas Gomes, Advisor at Red House; Barbara Born, Director of Graduate Studies, Continuing Education, and Research at the Singularidades Institute; and Emilio Munaro, Vice President of the National Association of Hybrid Education (Anebhi).
A new feature of this edition of the Managers’ Forum is the participation of education experts to discuss the initiative: #WhatDoIDoOnMonday. The idea is to propose an action plan for educators to implement in their schools and educational institutions, based on the experiences and lessons learned during the four days of Bett Brasil 2023. The Administrators’ Forum is sponsored by Microsoft, Educbank, Skies Learning, and Systemic Bilingual.
