Registration is now open for the Bett Nordeste Conference
A Bett Brazil, organizer of the largest Innovation and Technology for Education event in Latin America, announces that registration is now open for Bett Northeast Conference, a traveling event that will take place in Recife (PE) on September 4 and 5, in the Recife Expo Center. Click here to register.
In this edition, educators and experts will discuss topics related to basic education under the central theme:“Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Emotional Intelligence (EI) in education: what should we learn?” The event will feature a series of panel discussions and an area dedicated to showcasing products, services, and solutions for educational institutions. Admission is free.
Bett Nordeste—just like Bett Brasil, held in São Paulo—is yet another forum for dialogue among all stakeholders in the Brazilian educational ecosystem. The goal is to work together to achieve higher-quality and more equitable education, with the participation of both the private and public sectors in basic education.
AI and IE
The Bett Nordeste Conference will focus on topics intrinsic to basic education, a cornerstone of Brazil’s educational development. To that end, the event’s theme itself underscores the importance and relevance of AI and IE, since—in addition to being present and relevant to education—these subjects are intertwined and interdisciplinary.
“It’s not just about evaluating technology in education. It is increasingly necessary to integrate it purposefully, taking into account two important elements in the daily lives of teachers, students, administrators, and school operators: Artificial Intelligence and Emotional Intelligence—and what we must learn from these two ‘languages’ as drivers of a high-quality, equitable education for all,” says Adriana Martinelli, Director of Content at Bett Brasil.

To explore the central theme, educators and renowned experts will discuss issues related to the following subtopics:
Digital Ethics: related to the use of technology and artificial intelligence in education, emphasizing the importance of ensuring student privacy, combating algorithmic bias, and promoting responsible practices in the use of AI.
Personalized Learning: How artificial intelligence can be used to tailor instruction to the individual needs of each student, offering a more personalized and effective education that is aligned with each student’s emotional and cognitive development.
Emotions: addresses issues related to students’ emotional development, including the promotion of mental health, the cultivation of social-emotional skills, the appropriate management of emotions in the educational context, and the fundamental role of interpersonal relationships in learning.
Inclusive Leadership: emphasizes the importance of a human-centered approach to educational leadership in order to promote inclusion, regardless of abilities, backgrounds, or identities.
Schedule
The panels during the Bett Nordeste Conference will be presented in two formats strategically designed by Bett Brasil to broaden the audience and engage participants: the “Roda de Conversa” (Roundtable) auditoriums, moderated by education journalists, and the “Aquário” (Aquarium) auditorium, which features open seating for audience participation. The main feature of both auditoriums is more direct interaction with the audience, which can spark interesting, rich, and collaborative discussions for the exchange of experiences and ideas. There is also the “Bett Arena,” an auditorium open to the public.
Among the topics selected for the panels are: “Challenges and Opportunities of AI in Basic Education”; “School Well-Being: Happiness and Nonviolent Communication”; “Educating for Uncertainty—How Can We Prepare People for an Unpredictable Future?”; “The Power of Emotions in Learning”; “AI in Education: Transforming Learning”; and “Creative Thinking for Contemporary Challenges”
