During the second half of 2021, Bett Brasil will host the “Palco de Lives,” a platform designed to facilitate dialogue between educators and experts on key issues related to the Brazilian education system. To discuss various aspects of the return to in-person classes, Bett Brasil will hold the first Palco de Lives on Thursday, July 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with the theme “Schools Reopen: How to Return Safely?”, featuring infectious disease specialist Dr. Luana Araújo and Olavo Nogueira Filho, Executive Director of Todos Pela Educação. The event will be completely free, streamed on Bett Brasil’s YouTube channel, and aims, once again, to contribute to the new guidelines relevant to the current reality of Brazilian education.

 

 

As the first Brazilian to receive the prestigious Sommer Fellowship for her master’s degree in Public Health at Johns Hopkins University (United States), Luana Araújo will present an overview of the novel coronavirus and highlight protocols for reopening schools, safety measures, and medical recommendations to prevent new infections. The live stream will be opened by Adriana Martinelli, Content Director at Bett Brasil, who will also moderate the conversation between Dr. Luana Araújo and Olavo Nogueira Filho, in addition to coordinating questions from participants.

 

According to Adriana Martinelli, content director at Bett Brasil, the goal is to introduce the topic of returning to school to educators and, as a result, raise awareness and prevent conflicts and anxiety among parents, guardians, and students.

 

“The return of students to schools presents many challenges, including fears of exposure to the virus in the school setting, and this requires clear and direct communication that conveys scientific concepts in a way that is accessible to everyone—even to debunk fake news,” Martinelli points out.
