Ahead by Bett Aims to Disrupt Higher and Vocational Education
One of the new features for 2023, Ahead by Bett will take place alongside Bett Brasil from May 9 to 12 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo. Find out how to participate

Building a better higher education and vocational education system in Brazil is a complex task that requires its administrators to take innovative initiatives aimed at improving the education of young people seeking a place in the job market and helping them build a career.

The figures show that higher education is viewed as a competitive advantage in the job market. According to a survey by the Brazilian Association of Higher Education Institutions (ABMES), 69% of graduates found jobs within one year of graduation between 2020 and 2021. In fields related to management and administration, the rate reaches 85%. According to ABMES researchers, a college degree ensures greater visibility and high-quality professional connections—key factors for building a career.

With a view to strengthening higher and vocational education as a cornerstone for the development of the country and society, Latin America’s largest education and technology event, Bett Brasil, is launching a new initiative focused on this sector for its 2023 edition: Ahead by Bett. This is a side event that will take place alongside Bett Brasil from May 9 to 12 at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo. Registration is now open and can be completed here.

Ahead by Bett will bring together leaders, institutions, and solution providers in higher and professional education, featuring content on specific topics such as hybrid learning, employability, innovation (new teaching models), and initial training for educators. There will be approximately 30 companies offering solutions tailored to this audience, in addition to more than 24 hours of content, featuring 16 panel discussions and over 40 speakers. Among the exhibitors already confirmed are: Rede Futura de Ensino - FAVENI; Instructure (learning platform); Adsecurity; Fundação Vanzolini; and FIA Business School.

The idea of holding a side event dedicated to Higher and Vocational Education is intended to foster an environment for the exchange of ideas and experiences among educational institutions seeking digital transformation and new learning models and approaches, as well as to provide a space for suppliers of solutions, products, and services in this sector to showcase new releases and innovations.

Adriana Martinelli, Director of Content at Bett Brasil, notes that the company positions itself as one of the key coordinators in the education sector and a promoter of connections, relationships, business opportunities, and learning. The goal is to engage with all the stakeholders necessary to promote innovation in education, and including higher and vocational education in this conversation—through the Ahead by Bett event—is a natural step. “The central theme of the 2023 edition is ‘Education and Work for New Futures,’ which clearly indicates that an individual’s entire educational journey culminates in their active and productive integration into society,” says Adriana.

Celso Niskier, CEO of ABMES and advisor to Bett Brasil, points out that dedicating more space to higher and vocational education at Bett Brasil is even more timely given the country’s current situation. “The new administration has made clear its commitment to improving public policies in the area of education, such as expanding FIES and strengthening PROUNI. Therefore, it will be very important that during Bett we have an event dedicated to discussing these issues, which will undoubtedly impact the country’s future,” adds Niskier.
